We were all beginners once and we'd be happy to help you with the basics. Before you even buy a boat, why not stop in at our monthly meeting (see the Paddlers Calendar) for some friendly advice from experienced paddlers. Whether you're interested in calm afternoons on one of Michigan's beautiful lakes and rivers or two weeks in the wilderness, we can help - we've been there.

Huron Blueways Shipwrecks

The Huron Blueways project is designed to create a water trail along the Lake Huron shoreline from Mackinaw City to Alcona County. The area map below shows the extent of the water trail and references to detailed maps of specific sections. Click on the detail location number in the general area map or on the corresponding item in the list of detail located maps below to download the specific detail map in PDF format. These map files are about 100-120 KB in size.
You can help this project by paddling sections of the proposed water trail and recording information about it, using the Huron Shores Blueways Paddle Inventory Sheet (see links below), then submitting the information to NEMCOG at the address on the sheet.
